Zaza Soccer System (ZSS) Academy is based on the concept that soccer is dribbling, juggling, passing & receiving, and creating space with and without the ball. These basic skills are present in every player’s arsenal.
ZSS approaches soccer with a scientific magnifying glass. We use simplified forms of physics and biomechanics to explain why the body and ball behave as they do, and to explore the endless possibilities resulting from contact between a foot and a ball. Once this knowledge is transferred from coach to player, the player will gain problem-solving skills—the ability to recognize and correct mistakes and adjust as he or she learns. Although we use physics and biomechanics in our teachings, coaching is simplified so the players will only learn by application.
Philosophy: Teach soccer so that players enjoy playing and onlookers enjoy watching.
-Zaza
Academy Skills:
DRIBBLING: About 50% of all skill sessions are dedicated to learning how to dribble the soccer ball. This is the basis of a successful soccer player. ZSS will focus on body movements, running, ball contact, foot & eye coordination, stopping and turning with the ball, and manipulating ball rotation and directions. This basic skill is learned using simple soccer equipment.
JUGGLING: At least 15% of all skill sessions are dedicated to juggling. This additional multi dimensional skill adds to the success of a soccer player. We learn the basics of juggling using the most effective techniques. ZSS's philosophy is quality of the touch in form of control and soft power. After all, during a dual with an opponent, a soccer player will need the ability to touch the ball once or twice in the air to gain control of the ball. Players will learn how to be calm and focused on the objectives as well as learning to touch the ball to the correct height and distance. All players will learn juggling with feet as well as how to use body parts to complete a juggle or to adjust a juggle. ZSS will focus on body movements, foot & eye coordination, and manipulation of ball rotation and direction.
PASSING: Around 25% of academy sessions is spent on passing. Although our main focus is to teach young players how to keep the ball, and not give it away, we teach passing using ZSS techniques. All players will learn how to approach the ball, how to make contact with the ball, and how to use their body to effectively and accurately pass the ball to a target. We learn passing into space as well as to the feet. We let this skill develop naturally. It will not be mandatory during scrimmages or games. By passing the ball in a natural environment, the players will also learn other fundamental skills such as receiving and creating space.
SHOOTING: 5% is dedicated to shooting. Shooting is part of playing soccer. This will happen naturally when members play in scrimmages or in-house games. Shooting the ball is a skill for players that enjoy scoring goals. Shooting is a hard skill to learn, many things have to be learned in a sequence in order to be effective. All players learn the basics of how to create angles, run to the ball, how to generate power and where on the foot as well as on the ball contact is made. A skilled player learns the correct technique by learning the importance of the adjustment step.
SPEED & AGILITY: 5% of all sessions is dedicated to speed & agility. This is a crucial part in development of body athleticism. Although ZSS's focus is on ball touches, we introduce speed & agility training with and without a ball at an early age. We train on keeping the ball close to our feet regardless of how fast we run, and what turns we make.

Technical Training (Classes) |
|
Technical Training program is a new training concept developed by Coach Zaza. Learning what is, where on the field, when to and how to, will enable the players to make decisions that will set them apart from the run off the mill crowd. Train like a pro so you can reach pro level.
This program is open to players ages 12-20. Fall and Spring seasons are available. Each class is 60 to 90 minutes long with the focus on one skill at a time. The skill is learned in stages with completion tests in order to move on to the next level. Theoritical classes are offered so players understand the game rather than just play the game. Data of player credentials will be available and accessible on the website. With the permission of the player, skill and playing information is available to all for maximum exposure.
There are three levels in each skill. Players will receive secrets of each skill. Secrests that would take years to develop are learned in few weeks.
